Mykolas Natalevičius is a Lithuanian composer whose output moves between borderline, industrial and catastrophist imagery and a pure, minimalist, consonant strand drawn from ambient music and soundscape aesthetics. The musicologist Jūratė Landsbergytė has described the trajectory of his work as "shining in the dark." His works for symphony orchestra, choir, musical theatre, drama performances and films have received numerous awards in competitions and festivals in Lithuania and abroad. Between 2017 and 2025 he chaired the Lithuanian Composers' Union, and in 2019 co-founded the Baltic Contemporary Music Network, which he has led since its inception. Since 2025 he has headed the Composition Department at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
